Surfs Up
Deven has found his new passion. He just wants to go surfing. He has to do a little convincing to get Gracie and I to go with him. I don't love going to the beach pregnant, but once I get there the sun is really nice. He is getting pretty good at getting up and has even managed to ride a few waves all the way into the beach. But today we had a scary experience. Deven and one of his friends in his residency had decided to go. We went to pick him up, we loaded his surf board on top of the car as well and headed back down the freeway. We were almost to our exit when we heard a horrible noise and I looked out the back window to see 2 surf boards flying down the freeway. Deven tried to pull off the H1, but there wasn't exactly a shoulder. One board landed in the middle of the road the other one managed to land off to the side. He had to carefully get out of the car and head down the road to see if we could get the other board out of the road. I don't know how no cars hit it or how it didn't hit any cars when it flew off. We felt very lucky. Luckily one car stopped and held up traffic so Deven could run out and get the board. I felt so sick. I was hoping no one would get hit or no one would hit our car as half of it was hanging on the road. We were all a little shook up when we got to the beach. But after a while is was surfing as usual for the boys.
This is what Gracie and I do. She decided to bury me in the sand and then she went and got her sand bucket full of water and dumped it all over me. I felt helpless I was stuck. I finally convinced her to come sit by me and I would bury her. I have to admit this was so relaxing she even built me a back rest.
We went to the beach with our neighbors. Gracie and her boys had so much fun. They hunted for treasures, buried themselves in the sand and dug a pool for the tide to fill. She said she had so much fun.

That is so cool that Deven can surf. I heard that it is pretty hard to do. But, once you get the hang of it it is addicting. I am glad that everthing ended up okay with the surf boards that fell off the car. You look so cute pregnant.
Oh my gosh that’s so scary! Glad everyone was ok and that the boards were fine…that’s kinda funny cause the whole time we were driving to the beach yesterday w/the board on our car I kept thinking…'what if this flew off' now I am really going to be paranoid next time we have it up there! ;) Oh and the pics are cute, thanks for taking some of them… Brenten is on my lap now and saw them and said “it’s my Gracie!” I think he really likes her mothering him :)
Deven what a surfer guy you are. I Cute pictures at the beach.
My computer isn't working so I still don't have the internet.
Have a great day.

I'm glad no one was hurt in the board incident. That sounds scary! You look cute at the beach. I hope you're feeling better and doing well. Gracie is a character - I love that she has "her boys" to play with. :o)

What a scary story. I'm so glad that nothing happened and you were still able to have a safe and fun day at the beach. He's doing really well. I'm sure he'll become a pro by the time he's finished with things their.
Wow - I'm glad everything turned out alright, that could have been bad news.
You look great!
